Why Shadow?
Ever since I was very young, Sonic had always been my childhood hero. Then, the Dreamcast came along.
I think I'm one of the few who actually adored the Dreamcast to bits, and was greatly disappointed when Sega went bankrupt.
Before that, however, Shadow stepped onto my screen. The first time I'd really seen another proper hedgehog other than Sonic, I was curious to see what this new hedgie could do.
After playing through the game, I fell in love with him - Especially at the end when all he wanted to do was protect Maria and avenge her. He took her wish the wrong way, but at the end, he fulfilled his promise.
Ever since, Shadow has been once of my most favourite characters of all time.
